Graphic design students in my Creative Algorithms course at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design were given a short tutorial on basic drawing in Processing (point, line, rect, ellipse, arc and bezier) last week then tasked with creating a self-portrait. The majority of the class are first-time programmers, and they threw themselves into the project with enthusiasm and abandon, with wonderful results. The full gallery of sketches (and source code) are up on our OpenProcessing classroom.
